These bags are made from recycled juice cartons - non-biodegradable foil and plastic packaging that would otherwise go into landfill sites and incinerators. They are made in the Philippines (hence the some times strange juices, Banana Ketchup does exist!) by a womens co-operative under fair trade principles.
